Branded Micro Fiber Clean Cloth Production Process
Raw Material
We purchase the primary raw material, and spin them with synthetics in order to get the type of yarn they need for production. Yarn must be coated or sized in order for it to be woven more easily. Bleaches are generally used to whiten a towel before dyeing it (if it is to be dyed).If the towel is to remain white, an optical brightener to make the white look brighter. Synthetic or chemical dyes, of complex composition, which make cloths both colorfast and bright, will be used.
OEM Design
Most of our microfiber cloths are not specially designed in complex patterns. The vast majority is simple terry cloths woven on dobby looms with loop piles, straight edges at corners. Sizes vary as do colors depending on the order. Increasingly, white or stock microfiber cloths are in our warehouse.
If it is to be dyed, the large, dried uncut rolls are taken to large vats of chemical dyes, which have proven over time after extensive residential laundering. After being immersed in the vat, the microfiber cloths are removed and pressed between two heavy rollers which force the dye down into the microfiber cloths. A thorough steaming sets the color. The microfiber cloths are again steam-dried, fluffed in the drying process, and then the dyed microfiber cloths are ready for cutting, printing and labeling.
Cutting and Printing
According to customers’ requirement, we will precut the microfiber cloths into standard size 10cm*15cm, 15cm*15cm, 15cm*18cm or any size that customers want. This will be executed once the microfiber cloths are dyed into the color customer requiring.
Printing or Sewing
We have several printing methods for customers’ options including heat transfer printing, silkscreen printing, embossing, gold stamping and silver pressing for your artwork. Heat transfer printing will be one of the best printing effects. After the printing process, some customers like sewn edge, so we will need to send the printed microfiber clean cloths to our sewn working room for this step.
Quality Control and Packing
Microfiber clean cloths are rigorously checked for quality control throughout the production process. If yarn is purchased, it is randomly checked for weight and must be the standard established (lighter yarn spools indicate the yarn is thinner than desired and may not make as sturdy the cloths). Bleach and dye vats are periodically checked for appropriate chemical constitution.
As in all aspects of the process, visual checks are a key to quality control—all involved in the process understand minimum standards and monitor the product at all times. Final visual inspection of the cut and sewn microfiber clean cloths occurs and they are hand folded and conveyed to packaging, where automatic packaging equipment forms a bag around the microfiber clean cloths and UPC labels are attached to the bags. These packaged microfiber clean cloths are sent to the stock room, awaiting transport out of the plant.
